Manowar bassist Joey DeMaio has confirmed that the legendary metal band is working on new material. In a recent interview with Metal Talk, DeMaio revealed that the long-awaited studio album is still on the way: “Yes, we’ve been working on new music… it is heavy, brutal, and everything you’d expect from Manowar.”
While the band’s focus has been on their Blood Of Our Enemies 2025 tour, DeMaio assured fans the new album is coming — and promises it’ll be worth the wait.
The upcoming album will be Manowar’s first full-length release since 2012’s The Lord of Steel, and their first with shred legend Michael Angelo Batio on guitar. Batio joined the band in 2022 following Evandro Martel’s temporary departure for personal reasons.
Though fans are still waiting for the full album, Manowar last released a single in 2023 titled “Laut Und Hart Stark Und Schnell”, a German-language anthem dedicated to their loyal fanbase.
No official release date for the new album has been announced yet.
