
American actor Michael Madsen has died at the age of 67, his manager Ron Smith confirmed to NBC.
According to Smith, Madsen passed away from a cerebral infarction (stroke).
Madsen is best known for his long-running collaboration with director Quentin Tarantino, appearing in iconic roles in Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill: Volume 1, and Kill Bill: Volume 2.
Born in Chicago in 1957, Madsen made his film debut in Against All Hope in 1982 and went on to appear in more than 100 films throughout his career. His other notable credits include Sin City and Donnie Brasco.
He is survived by his wife and six children, including actor Christian Madsen, known for his roles in Palo Alto and Divergent.
