The American band Bewitcher is now releasing their fourth album. It’s a bit difficult to categorize the band, but if you imagine a bold mix of blackened thrash metal and Motörhead, you’ll have a pretty good idea of what Bewitcher sounds like. M. Von Bewitcher’s vocals are of the raspy thrash metal kind, while the riffs, solos, and drumming are very rock ‘n’ roll, all at a relatively fast tempo. It sounds cool, and Bewitcher has managed to find its own style. Speaking of humorous pseudonyms as M. Von Bewitcher, the bassist goes by name of A. Magus. Both of these mentioned members have been part of the band since the beginning in 2013. In fact, they’ve toned down their use of pseudonyms, as they used to call themselves Infernal Magus of Nocturnal Alchemy and Unholy Weaver of Shadows & Incantations. Now those are some powerful nicknames! The newcomer to the band, who joined in 2019, is drummer A. Hunter. I also have to mention that “Spell Shock” has a very cool cover designed by Luca Martinotti. So, we have a solid product that deserves some attention. Check out the band if you like Motörhead and thrash metal.
Released September 27th, 2024 on Century Media Records.
