No, this is not the Belgian heavy metal band Crossfire that released ‘See You in Hell’ in 1983. This is a thrash metal band from Ireland releasing their debut album. The band was actually formed way back in 2012 and released an EP in 2018. But now, the band is ready with a full album. Crossfire plays thrash metal of a slightly more melodic kind. ‘Switch To Reset’ has its good moments. However, I generally find it a bit tame, and I miss more aggressiveness. Especially the vocals are a bit hoarse, and I miss more punch. I also miss a bit more uniqueness since this is the type of thrash metal I’ve heard a thousand times before. But Crossfire can play, and it sounds good. So, a bit more effort in songwriting and more power in the vocals, and the next album could be quite good.
