Brazilian band Farscape is back with their fourth album. The band has been active since 1998, so they’re accumulating quite a bit of experience. It’s been a whole ten years since the band released anything, so they’ve spent some time on this new album. Nevertheless, there’s not much to brag about here. The band plays aggressive thrash metal, but originality is in short supply. Apart from some odd effects on the vocals and such. The production is rather thin and uninspiring. Additionally, I struggle with the vocals, which sound like hoarse ranting. “Purged And Forgotten” isn’t entirely terrible. There are a few riffs here and there that stick, and the band maintains a fast pace. However, apart from that, this is an album that’s quickly going to be forgotten in my book.
Released by Dying Victims.
