Intranced is a heavy metal band from Los Angeles, USA, and “Muerte Y Metal” is the band’s debut album. “Muerte Y Metal” is Spanish and means “death and metal” in English. The reason the band chose a Spanish title for the album is that two of the members have Mexican descent, while one of the members is from Argentina. Despite the Spanish title, only three out of ten songs on the album are in Spanish. Something I’m glad about since I struggle with the Spanish songs. It just sounds better when the band sings in English. Despite that, it’s certainly cool that they try a language that belongs to their background. Initially, I described Intranced as a heavy metal band, but this is just as much a hard rock band. Maybe more. Most of the songs are quite calm and have a sound that is more associated with the hard rock releases of the 70s and 80s. It doesn’t sound too bad overall from Intranced, but the good songs are missing. If they came up with some better songs, it wouldn’t be surprising if this band could go far. Because these are skilled musicians, and vocalist James-Paul Luna has a good voice.
