From Canada, we have Raider, who are releasing their second album; “Trial by Chaos”. Their first album, “Guardian Of The Fire,” was released in 2020. The band plays a fairly brutal form of thrash metal that incorporates inspiration from death metal. Nevertheless, the band isn’t afraid to include melodic sections, and the guitar solos, in particular, can be quite melodic. “Trial By Chaos” never reaches the highest heights, but this is a solid album overall. Everything falls into place; a skilled drummer, talented guitarists, and a fierce vocalist. Additionally, the album got cool cover art by Mitchell Nolte. So if your into thrash metal of the more brutal sort – check out “Trial by Chaos”.
