
Ozzy Osbourne has died, according to an announcement on the legend’s official Facebook page. This comes just weeks after he said farewell to fans in Birmingham with a stunning concert alongside his bandmates in Black Sabbath. As many know, Ozzy had been battling Parkinson’s disease in recent years, and performed seated on a throne during the show.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.

Ozzy Osbourne is considered one of the greatest icons and legends in heavy metal history, having helped shape the genre as far back as 1970 with the formation of Black Sabbath. In doing so, he has inspired and thrilled fans for 55 years. Ozzy’s importance to hard rock and heavy metal cannot be overstated.
