
According to ReptilesMagazine.com, a new lizard species has been named after IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson.
Researchers have discovered a new species of wood lizard in Ecuador, which they have named Enyalioides dickinsoni after Iron Maiden’s lead singer, Bruce Dickinson. The lizard’s discovery in the Amazon rainforest marks a significant addition to the reptile diversity of the region.
In 2016, Bruce Dickinson flew a loggerhead sea turtle, Caretta caretta, that washed up on a Jersey beach to the Canary Islands in his private plane, thus contributing to the awareness and protection of this vulnerable species.
