Therion – Leviathan III

December is not the month with a lot of releases as many record companies will not release anything at the end of the year. But the one that sticks out in December is Therion’s third album in the Leviathan trilogy.

NOVEMBER

Aeternus -Philosopher

Norwegian black death metal band Aeternus has been around since their early nineties. Their ninth album deserve some attention.

OCTOBER

Angelus Apatrida – Aftermath

There is not to many famous thrash metal bands from Spain. But Angelus Apatrida deserve to get notice. “Aftermath” is a very good thrash metal album.

Primordial – How It Ends

Irish Primordial sure as some good records under their belt by now. “How It Ends” might actually be one of their best.

Skálmöld – Ýdalir

The Icelanders in Skáldmöld has released some good albums in their past and the still continue to do so.

Cavalera Conspiracy – Morbid Visions

It might be a bit weird to salute a re-recording like this as album of the month. But the Cavalera brothers are the true Sepultura and they managed to give this classic album the sound and feeling it deserves.

Vulture Industries – Ghosts From the Past

Vulture Industies may some strange to most people. But at the same time their music is pretty catchy.

MAY

Immortal – War Against All

Norwegian black metal band Immortal may not be the same without Abbath. But “Was Against All” is a great album anyway and it sure sounds like Immortal.

Enforced – War Remains

The american thrash metal band Enforced are getting better for each release.

One-man-band Hellripper as really outdone him self this time. “Warlocks Grim & Withered Hags” sounds really bad ass!

“Dying of Everything” got everything a death metal album should have. This is pure awesomeness from the very start. Best Obituary album since the nineties.
