Sacral Night is a French heavy metal band that previously released an album in 2019 called “Ancient Remains”. Now the band is ready with “Le diadème d’argent”, that can be translated into “The Silver Diadem”. The band isn’t strictly a heavy metal band; rather, they blend in black metal and various occult elements. What sets the band apart is the vocals performed in French. Describing it is quite challenging as it’s somewhat chant-like, sometimes a bit shouty, and occasionally just typical heavy metal vocals. The vocals, along with the songs that aren’t particularly impressive, are the harder aspects of the band to digest. Instrumentally, they’re not too bad, but that’s mostly the minimum requirement. Additionally, the fact that the band’s guitarist, Marc Crapud, played live bass for the Nazi band Peste Noire in 2016 and 2017 doesn’t exactly help in appreciating this band.
