This Portuguese band blends a mix of genres, and sometimes it’s actually quite powerful and symphonic – but then they introduce a female vocal and peculiar jazz elements that ruin everything. It’s not that it’s poorly executed, as this band is highly technical and well-played, but this odd combination and the unpleasant melodies make me mentally uncomfortable. This is quite unfortunate since certain parts are actually quite good – but it’s like rummaging through a pile of junk trying to find the occasional item worth keeping.
