Dimmu Borgir released their previous record back in 2018. Now the band can finally announce that their upcoming album has been fully recorded, mixed, and mastered. The news was shared by producer Fredrik Nordström on Studio Fredman’s official Facebook page.
So far, the band has not revealed the album title or release date. However, in an interview with Silenoz at Tons of Rock with Tarjei Strøm, there was talk of a possible release early next year.
Fredrik Nordström added in his post: “What a fantastic journey, had so much fun and also challenging, if you are into the band you will not be disappointed.”
The band has spent a long time in the studio, and as early as December 3rd last year, Studio Fredman shared a picture of drummer Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski recording the drum tracks for the new album.
This will be the first album since Galder left the band last year. Whether the band’s new live guitarist, Kjell Åge “Damage” Karlsen, performs on the record is still unknown. But the band’s live bassist, Victor Brandt, is clearly involved based on photos shared by Studio Fredman.
