Thrash Bombz are an Italian thrash metal band that was formed in 2007 in Agrigento, Sicily. With a name like Thrash Bombz it’s a bit hard to take them entirely seriously—and that’s fair enough, as the band lean into humour. Not that anything is especially funny, but the humour shows in both the name and the image. The music, by contrast, is fairly standard thrash in the vein of Vio-lence, Exodus and Whiplash.
They’ve previously released three albums, all of which share one thing: poor cover artwork. Beyond that there isn’t much to say about “Bio Decay”; this is very typical thrash that gets buried among countless similar releases. The band do have some cool riffs here and there, but nothing that really stands out. Thrash Bombz need to find their own identity, because this is the kind of thrash metal we’ve heard far too many times over the past forty years.
