French metalcore with band members in white sneakers and masks? That’s the newcomers Rage Behind. “Don’t Break” is the band’s debut album. But during 2022 and 2023, the band released three EPs. As mentioned, the music style is metalcore. However, there’s also a lot of groove metal in the sound, and it sounds very heavy. The production is spotless and executed to perfection. But it doesn’t sound very exciting. I think maybe this band could have gone somewhere if this was released in the mid-90s when similar bands like Coal Chamber, Static-X, and Mudvayne were dominating. Because “Eminence Or Disgrace” doesn’t sound far from the mentioned bands. In that sense, Rage Behind doesn’t fall behind. But they lack the good songs. So they have a long way to go to become the new Slipknot. But Rage Behind doesn’t sound too bad, and the band definitely has potential even though they don’t resonate with me personally.
