Iron Maiden kicked off the second leg of The Future Past Tour at the Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece, on 23 May 2026. The band had hinted that there might be a surprise in the set compared to last year’s run of the tour, and there certainly was. They pulled the 1988 classic “Infinite Dreams” out of the hat.
Unfortunately, “The Clairvoyant” had to make way for “Infinite Dreams”. But many fans see this as a big deal, as Iron Maiden had not played the song since 1988 – more specifically, at Hammersmith Odeon in London, England, on 12 December that year.
Many expected “Infinite Dreams” to appear during the Maiden England World Tour from 2012 to 2014, but it was dropped from the set. A lot of fans speculated that this was because Bruce Dickinson would no longer be able to sing it. It is therefore great to see them prove those critical rumours wrong fourteen years later, with Dickinson handling the song more or less perfectly.
